It wasn't supposed to have happened, it never should have happened. But it did, it happened, and now Frodo, and everyone else, was paying for it.
The heavy wooden door on the hobbit's prison creaked as it opened. Startled out of his memory Frodo looked up to see who was coming. One of the larger orcs entered holding a torch with one hand, and a piece of meat and bread in the oher, a whip hung from his belt.
Frodo didn't stand,he was too weak, but when the orc told him the only way he was getting fed was if he went and got it Frodo shakily got up. Clinging to the wall with one hand he slowly made his way to the orc, the chain of the shackle around Frodo's ankle clinked softly as he walked, but everytime Frodo would get close the orc would step back.
When Frodo could go no further, and had to try and reach out a get it, the orc finally handed the food over and left. Frodo went back to his little corner and collasped onto the floor. Nibbling at his food, trying to make it last, he ate then curled up and drifted off to sleep. Dreaming of what happened two years ago.
"Are you ready to travel on Mr. Frodo?" Sam asked anxiously noting how exhausted his master looked. "Yes Sam" Frodo answered quietly, getting up he let Sam lead. Keeping his feet moving and his hand away from the Ring he hadn't noticed that he had ventured off and had gotten lost. But when he realized he could no longer hear Sam talking he looked around, he couldn't see Sam anywhere. Terrifed he called out Sam's name and tried to retrace his steps, he went on for a ways before he stumbled and fell.
Too tired to get up he just laid there, until he heard the orcs coming, only then did he try to hide, but it was too late. They found him and brought him before Sauron. When his Ring had been return to him, Sauron for some unknown reason, ordered Frodo to be locked up instead of killed.
Things went sorta dark then, a deep darkness like the darkness of his prison cell. Then things cleared up and he was dreaming of how the orcs whipped him and tortured him.
Whimpering in his sleep, Frodo suddenly woke up. Frodo was use to such dreams by now, but it still made him shiver when he woke up, running his fingers over a scar on his cheeck Frodo sighed. "Why has Sauron not killed me yet?" he thought sadly. "Why let me live and suffer like this?."
